Let's get cozy

It seems important to get acclimated.

I am not Henry Louis Gate Jr. - He is a national treasure. Unfortunately, this is not Finding Your Roots. I am not a genealogist and there is no Book of Life. However, pbs.org has some extremely satisfying programming I can to refer you to. If you are still here, we are doing this the hard way. Piece by piece.

Here are my goals:

• Curate my family archives - I don’t know if thats a thing, but let’s make it a thing.

• Identify the best ways to care for them.

• Become a better custodian of my family story - learn some things, do my best to tell an accurate story, be ok with the gaps.

And some caveats:

• I have no idea what I am doing in this regard. I am just doing,

• I am 10 years into whatever phase of grief this is, so if you have lost someone close to you, this may not be for you. Or maybe today it is and tomorrow it’s not. All I am saying is, grief is a fickle asshole and this one is mine, so don’t ever feel like it needs to be yours too.
